Relational Compliance Custom Safety Programs
Special Pricing and Wording for Churches
Churches often ignore or do not realize their responsibility for complying
with government regulations. In order to assist churches in determining
the need for a safety program, RCG provides these questions to be considered:
- How many people are actually affected by safety
in the church environment?
- Total number _____ of full and part-time employees (this number
should accurately reflect persons on the church's payroll)
- Total number _____ of other workers contracted on a regular basis
(these are paid individuals who provide their own worker's compensation
insurance).
- Total number _____ of temporary workers brought in from any outside
agency.
- Does the total number of A, B, and C above exceed 9? If your church
is located in California, you MUST have a written program! In Florida,
you need to have a program if the number exceeds 20. Other states have
varying requirements.
- Although regulations are based on worker's compensation requirements,
consider the following:
- Estimated number _____ of volunteer workers (church school teachers,
board and committee members, fellowship group members who work in
the church kitchen or assist the trustees, bus drivers, etc.).
- Can your church afford to be without a safety program, given the number
of volunteers who participate in your weekly activities? Pose that question
to your liability insurance carrier if you have any doubts.
Relational Compliance Group offers a $100 discount on the price of the
basic program to churches and other not-for-profit organizations which
utilize volunteers.
