Product Description

RCG programs cover all seven requirements mandated by California Code of Regulations, Title 8, Section 3203, the law requiring all employers to establish and maintain a written Injury and Illness Prevention Program. The law also requires employers to implement the program, and RCG programs include a self-teaching guide for use by your Responsible Safety Officer and Safety Committee. Using California law -- the most stringent in the country -- as a guideline for compliance, enables employers in other states to stay far ahead of Federal regulations.

We call our primary manual the Employer’s Guide to Injury and Illness Prevention, and it has four chapters. Chapter 1 -- "Written Plan" -- and Chapter 2 -- "Codes of Safe Work Practices" -- mirror the employee IIPP but also include additional information on the background and legal requirements for many of the topics. During the initial development of our product, legal council advised us to separate the actual employee IIPP from advice that is intended for management only, thus preventing over-zealous employees from gaining information that might be misinterpreted and used against their employer.

Chapter 3 provides guidelines and instructions for recordkeeping as well as a directory for obtaining free help from governmental agencies.

Chapter 4 contains all of the recordkeeping forms needed to comply with State and Federal recordkeeping requirements. The forms bear your company name and come with unlimited reproduction rights.

The Employer’s Guide also includes a complete copy of the employee IIPP bound behind the Index to the Employer’s Guide.

RCG programs cover as many potential hazards as possible without straying into areas where employees have no contact. For example, an office environment would not have items such as forklifts covered in the Codes of Safe Work Practices. Instead it will focus on the relevant issues and equipment you choose from our worksheets and on other information provided by your company

Spanish translation of the employee handbooks is available for an additional charge.
